I was quite surprised with exceptional off-road capabilities of the Toyota Landcruiser which was used to drive us around the desert but even with it we managed to get stuck in sand a few times. Upon returning to "civilization" I mistook the Partner for Toyota and the poor car got some really hard bumps into the engine protection so we had to dismount ant bent it again.

Peter and I took to the desert only the inverter which was providing us with a 220 V power, necessary for battery, laptop and satellite telephone charging.
