It's true they were waving and shouting after us as we passed without speed reducing the rest area where everybody stopped, but probably nobody wanted to loose his cup of tea, so we were free for the next couple of hours. We visited St. Paul monastery (where he died and is burried) and made some ditional stops on the coast, where Peter finally coloured the red sea red (well, it's quite a demanding journey).

We are spending a day in Cairo now but will leave in the evening west-bound with clean clothes and a new can supply. yesterday the new airbed also started to leak air so we'll try to change it in Cairo's Carrefour.

We have to be on Libyan border on Tuesday as car insurance and my visa expire that day.

We said good-bye to Sandra and Oliver www.gilles-unterwegs.de in Luxor. This time it was for good and quite emotional. They are now on their way to Aswan where they'll embark on a ferry on Monday and arrive to Sudanese Wadi Halfa the next day. Gute Reise! Barbara and Klaus are in Sharm where they are hosting their daughter with her offspring until Sunday. Then they keep on to Hurgada and Luxor.
