Anyhow, I have got a confirmation of what I was telling all the time: in Syria and Lebanon I found two countries of extremely nice and hospitable people which have a lot to offer to a visitor, besides their safety; there is practically no crime and the closest you can get to "terrorism" (Israeli-American expression for a partisan movement for liberation of the occupied Palestine) is while driving through a refugee camp in the south of Lebanon where you can see young boys holding machine-guns in their hands off the road.

Don't forget that people living in the cradle of our civilization live normal lives, they get stuck in traffic jams as we do, they listen to the latest album of Amr Diab (well, that's what we don't), look for the sun rays wherever possible, they feel love and they empty waste-bins.

I'm attaching a few photos of probably the best fortification I've seen in my life (Krak des Chevaliers, a Crusaders' castle ner Tartus) and I'm saying: Ila liqa, yasuriya!
