From the flower shop they called an US marine of Turkish origin. He had his last 4 days of vacations before leaving for 6 months to Baghdad. When they found out what Tilen wants from them, they called Peugeot Assistance which had a very friendly and professional service.

In the evening the car was already hooked up to the computer and they discovered it needed a new fuel filter. US marine Emre, while he was translating the conversation between Tilen and the technician, added that they help in wartime and peacetime. For the first time Tilen spent the night without his car heater, he slept in the workshop where he indulged in cozy 16 degrees Celsius with bathroom, kitchen, TV and with all that he also got some tea.

This morning three technicians started with the repairs. They worked for 2 and half hours, called to Istanbul, checked for data on the internet and Desert ship got new fuel filter. Those pleasant guys from Dörtler in Adana did a very good job (on the top photo from left to right Özturk, Fatih and Okan). Tilen was also very lucky because he caught the last moments of workday which finishes this afternoon when a 3 day festival Bayram, which marks the end of the month of Ramadan, starts.

This afternoon Tilen is on the road to the Turkish-Syrian border where he will meet with Helen and Richard from Oceannomad.

And not to forget… in the flower shop in Adana where they helped him a lot, they also gave him a pot plant :-) (by Rok)
